What are the key skills that the program is looking for in applications?
The program welcomes applications from students of all backgrounds and is particularly looking for students who are interested in applying data analysis and leadership skills to the education field and public sector.  We are not looking for a deep background knowledge in data analysis and are interested in applicants that show a commitment to learning.

At this time, students will not receive academic credit for the program.
How will the mentor program work?
Students will complete a survey prior to the first session and based on their expressed academic and career interests will be paired with a mentor who currently works in the fields of data analysis or education.  Students and mentors will have an opportunity to connect 1:1 over the course of the program.

Kitamba plans to host virtual coffee chats for students following the conclusion of the program.  These coffee chats will provide an informal opportunity for students to connect with current professionals in the fields of education and data analysis.
